We will provide more updates on this page, so stay tuned...

08/10/2010

It's been a long summer, but hunting season is fast approaching.  The clubhouse is nearing completion.  Special thanks to all of our returning members and welcome to our new members.

04/25/2010

We have acquired some new fields, and our 3 new Bradley Pits are on their way.  We are also getting ready to break ground on our new club house.  Please check back often for pictures.

01/16/2010

We had a great weekend.  The low fog and the spike in the weather made for excellent hunting.  We got over 50 birds in 2 days between 3 pits.  It's a shame there are only 2 weeks left.

01/08/2010

Another good one.

01/07/2010

It's a cold one, but the birds are flying.  There are a lot of new birds in the area and more coming each day.

01/03/2010

There is an unbelievable amount of birds...it's amazing.  This picture shows only a portion of the birds.  The strip mines still have a lot of open water and they have found it.

01/02/2010

We had some great guys here as a part of the Wounded Warriors hunt.

01/01/2010

It was another cold one and getting colder.  Good job Bob and Cole on toughing it out!

12/28/2009

Another good day.

12/27/2009

We had a slow morning, but a HUGE push of birds in the afternoon.  This snow storm has really provided us with some great opportunities.

12/24/2009

Christmas came early this year.  We had a great Christmas Eve (morning) hunt.

12/18/2009

This weekend we had the pleasure of hunting with some guys from Northern Illinois and some guys from Southern Illinois.  We hope everyone had a great time and a special shout out to Brad, Luke. Roy and Cody.  Hope to see you all again next year!

12/13/2009

We have A LOT of new birds in the area.  The migration is in full swing.

12/11/2009

Ducks down.

12/06/2009

They're going down!  And check out the new sign.

12/04/2009

I've heard of "shoot 'em in the beak" but shoot 'em in the...band???

12/02/2009

They're here....finally.  We have gotten our first big push of birds with plenty more to come.

10/19/2009

We are getting geared up for the 2009-2010 season.  We've got blinds and pits going in as we speak.

01/25/2009

Four guys, four limits.  We are going to end this season with a bang...well...technically 8 bangs.

01/24/2009

There is one week left in the season and there are still too many geese to count landing in the stip mines.  One of our buddies brought his really nice camera and we wanted to share these picts with you.  He got some really good ones of the swans.

01/18/2009

Another great weekend...except for the weather.  It has been bitter cold for a while, but the birds are sticking around.  They didn't move for a few days last week, but they were moving this weekend, just a little later than normal.

01/11/2009

We had five hunters this weekend and couldn't have asked for more!  We killed out before noon on both days.

01/07/2009

Sorry for taking so long to update the news...too busy hunting I guess.  Ducks are out and geese are in.  We have been killing a limit almost everyday.  We've even gotten a few bands.  The geese are getting smarter, but we're keeping up with them.

12/08/2008

The geese are flying like crazy.  We saw one group after another after another tonight.   All of the birds from the north that flew in last week are still here and we keep getting more.  We were one bird shy of a limit today, but I'm blaming that one on forgetting to put my contacts in.

12/01/2008

We have a lot of new birds in the area.  The snow up north has pushed a lot of birds into the area.

11/20/2008

We have passed the 100 mark for ducks killed.  We are having a great season.  We have seen a lot of ducks in the past 10 days.  We are also gearing up for goose season.

10/26/2008

We had a great opening weekend!  Total kills are 23 geese and 19 ducks between 12 guys.  The birds are starting to migrate into the area.  Things will only get better from here!

9/27/2008

Matt Biemick took 3rd place in the Illinois State Duck Meat calling contest this weekend at Southern Illinois Outdoor Days at John A Logan college!

9/6/2008

We had 3 hunters today for teal season. Our total harvest for the day was 11.  There are a lot of Teal and Wood ducks in the area.  Things are shaping up for a good season.

9/1/2008

For opening day of early goose season we had a youth hunt.  The 3 boys harvested 6 Canadas!  A great start to a great season.
